Sorry, I do not speak German.
Braun has not made four way systems. But it produced a 12 inch speakers as well. I want to create a completely new system of four bands MTM design, therefore, been looking for speakers. The old Braun, from measurements of greater than most speakers of modern manufacturers.

So ganz ist Uli aus dieser Nummer trotzdem nicht raus, denn die Studiomaster gab es auch eine Zeitlang -wenn auch nur kurz- parallel mit atelier .

for new speakers I would choose new chassis.
There are two main reasons:
1. Chassis do not become better, when they get older.
2. I do not think, you will be able to get the 12'' chassis as spare parts anywhere.

Many thanks for answer. I building speakers many years and, beleive me, used many drivers. Usually I using Scan Speak. But! Braun 50 mm midrange have much smaller distortion than modern Scan midranges. It sound much better. I was buying four NOS Braun drivers and now i need more and more. 12-inch has drivers in the U.S., but shipping is very expensive. If I can't find the drivers of their homeland, will be buying overseas.

Jaja, die SM... ein Sarkophag mit 4 Wegen... die hatte ich vergessen. Nachdem die bei dem Boxentest bei Stephan gnadenlos durchgefallen ist hatte ich sie als Braunprodukt in meinem Kopf gestrichen!
Gab es noch andere 4Wegeboxen?

ich glaube nicht.
Die L1000, die ich erst noch im Verdacht hatte, hat trotz ihrer 13 Chassis nur 3 Wege.

you are right, no drivers for sale here.
Maybe you can have a look at ebay or ask at www.braunberni.de.
But I think you wont find these drivers anywhere.
