TGC 450 stereo lost...

i just received a beautiful 450, thanks to one of us here - who carefully changed the belts and checked it thoroughly. it found its place at home and played nicely for a few hours until... stereo disappeared, leaving left channel only and quite "muddy"...
head problem or connections?

Hi Phil,

please clean the heads at first.

Further more two things may happend. 1) the pinchroller is broken cause of hardening.
2) One of the onboard located long audio switches are broken.

hi gyrator and thanks for your tips. actually i succeeded in bringing it back by hitting the record/playback buttons several times and checking the back sockets. please check a little video i did here

your braun components are absolutely gorgeous... i'm very fond of these series and the previous rams items.
as i noticed you have a spare headshell for your ps500, i have to tell you i'm looking for one since i found a very nice grey ps500 but the cartridge was missing... so if you ever see one around for sale that would be great! i'm looking for a sleek-black ps500 too...

Hi phil,
here another picture:

use a contact spray for these 2 long switches on the left (red marked), most of the time both channels will work again.
PS 500 headshell: nothing, I only have headshells for PS 4xx ........
