So. I finally found myself a PCS 5.
Turns out that my tube vendor used to be a Braun technician back in the -70´s,and this particular turntable resided at their tech center as a firm installation to their test bed.
Peter bought it as they were to replace it,found a plinth for it,and the rest as they say is history. As Peter is one of them gentlemen that looks after his stuff..well. Guess the pictures tell the whole story.

Tonearm has however been replaced. In this case by an Ortophone. Reason for this is that, according to Peter, the stock unit lacks anti-skate adjustment.

That said the new unit carries merit. No doubt. Function is just basically flawless.

That´s not all though. This PCS 5 has been modified on yet another count, and that is...see that small "screw slot" in the picture.?
The entire plate has been modified to be suspended by three hydraulic shock absorbers. You weigh this in by turning the screws, three of them as noted, and indeed the whole thing works very very well.
