Regie 510 oder Regie 550D

I do still have a Regie 550D owned from my parents but it doesn't work so it needs a repair. It is not used for many years....From the outside it looks new.

At the moment a person offers me a working Regie 510 for about €75,-.
From the outside it looks good (on the photo) but this Regie is not very young...
Mostly the old Regie's 510 will give transistor problems and needs in that case also a repair...

What shall I do: to repair the Regie 550D of buy the still good working Regie 510?

Can you give me some advice?

Hey Harmony,
take them both, in my Opinion the 510 looks better, but the 550d is definitively the better one, nevertheless the 510 is an excellent receiver!
75€ is a good price, you will find a place in your home for the second one.
A repair is possible, after more than 40 years. But the spareparts are available and the repair could be done by every good technician!

Get the 510 and keep the 550 D! Most important is the good outside condition, from the technical point of view, both are no "bitches", though the digital one is slightly more complicated to repair.

Hi Harmony,

In My opinion the CEV 510 is a Must have for various reasons. Actually you should have even two of them, one with Silver front and one with black front.

Besides that I agree with the previous posts. Buy the 510 and repair the 550.
