Hi Roland, No, it is attached to the amplifier. It sits on top of the level control. It is an orange glow lamp (glimmlampe), and it is a one piece neon or gas tube. Ron

I used Ronson lighter fluid to remove the glue residue from my 710 grills. It's inexpensive and it's worth a try.
