I have noticed that the top edge of the tape is close/very close to the top of the tape tension pins on my TG 1000s and my TG 1020. On one of my TG 1000s a previous owner has glued a metal pin to the outside edge of the tension pins, presumably to stop the possibility of the tape coming off the top ...

I see on Facebook there is a short video covering Braun high speed conversion using a larger motor pulley, it is in the Analog Tape Lovers group.

Hi Raimund,

Unfortunately I was not able to check the value of the 4.75 cm/s R3013 resistor but assume its value must also have been changed.

Also assume that the larger pulley would increase the speed of the other 2 speeds, assuming no changes to the electronics.

On my TG 1020 the outside diameter of the capstan motor pulley (which drives the flywheel via the capstan belt) is around 33mm, on my TG 1000s the motor pulley outside diameter is around 19.5mm.
