TG1000 Voltage Settings

#1 Beitrag von ralf.adam@msn.com » 22.12.2010, 04:17

Hello, Can some one help me, I have a TG1000 and I am not sure which is the correct voltage setting for the 120 volts. The 110 or 130 setting on the voltage selection on the tape deck. Can some recommend a service center in the US.

Hello Ralf,

to be on the safe side it would be better to set the voltage switch to 130 V. The design of the curcuits have enough tolerances for the less current of less than 10 %.

Service Centre

#3 Beitrag von Rasmus » 01.02.2011, 11:03

Hi Ralf
I think finding a Service Centre for early Braun Hi-Fi devices and tape machines in the States is near to impossibe, since only the Atelier series were marketed under the brand name A.D.S. in America!
We got the same problem here in England.
My advice: Find yourself a reliable Hi-Fi Service Centre in your area to analyze any problems that your devices might have. And if they tell you that they can't help you because they can't get spare parts, tell them that you may be able to get them yourself from Germany and all you require from them is to tell you which parts are needed.
Once you know what parts you require you can post a request in this Forum or, alternativly get in touch with member Braunberni
http://www.braun-hifi-forum.de/profile. ... file&u=102 who has the largest amount of spares left.
Have a nice day
Rasmus

Rasmus and TheLongOne thanks for your help. I have 4 TG 1000 now 2 from Germany and 2 from Canada all 4 are running like new. I can do most of the repairs myself. The only problem I have right now is 1 deck the plaste reel hub locks are broken. I will look at the link see if I can buy some there.

Hi Ralf,
I live in Ontario, Canada. The average voltage up here is around 124V. I have two TG1000 and both are set to 130V.

Regards
Wilhelm
